To Market or Not to…

Those who never try

never have to fail.

It’s safe within a harbor

if we don’t unfurl the sail.

We never face rejection

of all that we hold dear

when we write in secret

and keep it safe and near.

But is it really living

to never hoist the sail?

To stay within the harbor

in fear that we may fail?

Or should we make the choice

to live courageously?

Allowing for the gift

of serendipity.

Today, I choose the latter,

to chance it, lose or win.

For ships that aren’t sent out

are ships that can’t come in.
